Biking May be Hazardous to your Health

Mom & Seanna went out to the E.Club Saturday night
they rode their bikes.
I have learned several things from their experience:

(1) The E.Club is in fact a place for Cougars,
and my Mom & Seanna are some of them.

(2) Paddy's Pub is lame.  Seriously.  Don't go there (even if you do love it's Always Sunny and meet new 22 year old friends who also love It's Always Sunny and you all think it's a good idea to go check out the Paddy's Pub in Emerald Isle... it's not.)
This is how crowded it was at 1:30am:

note that there is NOONE else in the place and the band that was allegedly playing has already packed up for the night.

(3) Biking while intoxicated is HARD and probably DANGEROUS.
Luckily, they made it home to me safely, but I hear Seanna kept veering off the bike path and Mom almost fell over several times.
plus, they looked ridiculous riding their bikes in dresses.

she is unfortunately allergic to me.
and i am not allowed to lick her,

Stonewall Jackson

My friend Jackson stayed with me for the past week and a half
(he went home last night, i miss him!)

Mom took us to the beach every morning.
Jackson is GREAT at fetching the ball
(I could care less, i like to chase FISH!)
One morning, we saw my sometimes friend
STONEWALL.
Mom thought it was funny to see
Stonewall & Jackson,
playing together.
She said Stonewall Jackson was a famous Confederate General.

I had no idea.
So, Mom gave me a history lesson
i.e., read me the Wikipedia article:

Thomas Jonathan "StonewallJackson[1] as (January 21, 1824[2] – May 10, 1863) was a Confederate general during the American Civil War, and probably the most well-known Confederate commander after General Robert E. Lee.[3] His military career includes the Valley Campaign of 1862 and his service as a corps commander in the Army of Northern Virginia under Robert E. Lee. Confederate picketsaccidentally shot him at the Battle of Chancellorsville on May 2, 1863, which the general survived, albeit with the loss of an arm to amputation. However, he died of complications of pneumonia eight days later. His death was a severe setback for the Confederacy, affecting not only its military prospects, but also the morale of its army and of the general public.
Military historians consider Jackson to be one of the most gifted tactical commanders in United States history. His Valley Campaign and his envelopment of the Union Army right wing at Chancellorsville are studied worldwide even today as examples of innovative and bold leadership. He excelled as well in other battles: the First Battle of Manassas (where he received his famous nickname "Stonewall"), theSecond Battle of ManassasAntietam and Fredericksburg. Jackson was not universally successful as a commander, however, as displayed by his weak and confused efforts during the Seven Days Battles around Richmond in 1862.

Now you know too.

I'M ON A BOAT!!

Well, not any more
(clearly, or I would not be blogging right now)
but i WAS,
and it was AWESOME!!

It took a little getting used to, I didn't really know what to do my first day out:

But I soon realized I LOVE IT!
I got to hang out with my friend Neeva & new role model Puka -
we saw dolphins and giant goats on the intercoastal waterway in Emerald Isle,
went to Shakleford Banks and saw the ponies,
and went out to the lighthouse at Cape Lookout,
SO MUCH FUN!

I've been missing my friends ever since Aunt Vicki & Uncle Collin left with the Brook Sea and my puppy play mates .... COME BACK SOON!!!

I was so busy having FUN and being SPOILED
that i didn't even tell you about my visit with
FAMILY!

that's me with my Gramma Jo, Aunt Ginny,
Aunt Cara & of course, Mom & Dad.
Ginny's boyfriend Sean came too.
i had all kinds of people to take me on walks
and sneak me people food.
FABULOUS week!
(minus the lyme's disease, which kind of
killed the fun the end of the week...)

back to the BEACH!

This morning, i was able to get up all by myself.
SO, mom & dad took me to THE BEACH!
i hadn't been in DAYS and DAYS.
this is my FAVORITE thing to do,
EVER:

Dad went surfing while i frolicked.
i tried to follow, but he went too far

so Mom & I watched from shore

it was a FUN morning!

i've got THE LYME

Not the kind you put in a coconut,
lyme's DISEASE.
The vet discovered back in April
that i had a trace of LYME.
they gave me doxycycline
and i never had symptoms.
but this past week, i started
LIMPING.
it got better, then it got
WORSE.
Mom got me more doxycycline
and some PAIN meds.
when we got back from the vet,
i just laid on the floor,
exactly where Mom set me down
after she carried me upstairs.
Aunt Ginny made me sock puppets
to play with while I'm not well:

and everyone is babying me -
feeding me TREATS,
letting me eat on the couch,
carrying me down the stairs,
(even though once outside,
i felt well enough to run away
and go next door to harass the
neighbor dogs in their pen).
i might need to milk this a few more days...

They did leave me and go out Saturday night
